Boot Camp Click - Duck Down Sampler VLS (1996)

Here we have a rare promotional Duck Down Sampler vinyl from 1996. If you are familiar with the Headz Ain't Ready VLS, no instrumentals were featured for the main track. Well, the sampler starts off with a dub instrumental of Headz Ain't Ready(Original Buckshot Mix). I know some of you are already saying "why didn't they just put the full instrumental without any vocals", well I don't know. The next track is Let Tha Brainz Blo (Babee Pall's Dolla Cab Lab Mix) by Heltah Skeltah. I don't know if this is supposed to be a Baby Paul remix but it sounds identical to the album version on Nocturnal; maybe it was released before the album? The B-Side wins again on this 12": Boot Camp Click - Niggaz Ain't Ready (Dirty F*cking Mix). While the original Headz Ain't Ready 12" version isn't censored, instead of saying "Headz" on the chorus, it now says "Niggaz". I believe that it is a super rare version that can only be found on this sampler which hasn't been ripped on the blogsphere until now. Enjoy!

A1 - Boot Camp Click - Headz Ain't Ready (Original Headz Instrumental)
A2 - Heltah Skeltah - Let Tha Brainz Blo (Babee Pall's Dolla Cab Lab Mix)
B1 - Boot Camp Click - Niggaz Ain't Ready (Dirty F*cking Mix)

Shadez Of Brooklyn + Evil Dee Mixtapes

At T.R.O.Y. we still practically live in the '90s (we're trying to catch up, though!) so anything related in some way to the Boot Camp Clik or the Beatminerz naturally catches our attention. Today we bring you choice tracks from Shadez Of Brooklyn. Shadez of Brooklyn was the brainchild of producer Chocolate Tye, a close friend of the Beatminerz, and Mr. Walt. Along with rappers Rambo, Tee Black, and Rev.Al., Chocolate Tye put a single "Change / When It Rains It Pours" that is generally considered to be a classic by those in the know. "Change" rocked the world by storm when it was included on DJ Premier's famous Reality Check 101 mixtape and the crew's other recordings are sought-after commodities. Today we bring you the "Change" and "How It's Done" singles plus the Wanted Men (Bootleg) EP. Oh, and just because we care, we're including Evil Dee One mixtape series (it has some additional Shadez tracks). Download and proceed to rejoice.

Big up to Ho1ogramz, Kimani, and serch4beatz for putting in good work as usual.

Beatminerz "Unmarked Music Vol. 1" Mix CD

If you are still unaware of the Beatminerz and their contribution to hip hop, I'm not sure what to say to you at this point. Fortunately, the old reliable substitute for retaining any sort of information on your own can step in and school the dummies while I repeatedly smash my head against my desk:

The crew, originally comprised of brothers Mr. Walt and DJ Evil Dee, formed in 1992, making their producing debut with Evil Dee's group Black Moon, on their debut single "Who Got Da Props?". They produced the entirety of Black Moon's acclaimed debut Enta Da Stage in 1993, then continued production work with Black Moon's Buckshot and his crew Boot Camp Clik. In 1995, along with their third official member Baby Paul, they produced the entirety ofSmif-N-Wessun's debut album Dah Shinin'. They continued work with fellow Boot Camp members Heltah Skeltah and O.G.C. in 1996, contributing multiple beats for their respective debuts, Nocturnal and Da Storm. In the late '90s, Da Beatminerz expanded their client list, producing for popular hip hop artists like Afu-Ra, Black Star, De La Soul, Eminem, Flipmode Squad, M.O.P., Mic Geronimo and O.C..

By 2001, the crew expanded to five members, with producers Rich Blak and Chocolate Ty joining Baby Paul, Evil Dee and Mr. Walt. That year, they released their debut album, Brace 4 Impak, on popular independent label Rawkus Records, featuring guest appearances from Royce Da 5'9", Black Moon,Ras Kass, Diamond D, Cocoa Brovaz, Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Freddie Foxxx, Jean Grae and Naughty By Nature. The album's lead single "Take That"became a rap hit in 2001, hitting the Top 5 on the Hot Rap Singles chart. By 2004, the crew narrowed back to its original members, Evil Dee and Mr. Walt, and the duo released their second album, Fully Loaded w/ Statik, on Copter Records. In the new millennium, they have crafted beats for artists likeAkrobatik, Big Daddy Kane, Black Moon, Boot Camp Clik, Craig G, Dilated Peoples, Jean Grae, KRS-One, Naughty By Nature, Smif-N-Wessun and Wordsworth. Okay, now that we're all presumably on the same page and my headache has subsided, let's all sink out teeth into this gem, which was originally requested by the inimitable DJ Mike Nice in this thread, than uploaded first by Markshot and then by Kimani in the convenient one file, password-free form it exists in here. As far as the music goes, let's just say we have a whole bunch of dirty Beatminerz beats, acapellas from most of your favorite rappers of all time, and instrumentals for days. This download is 100% worth your while, assuming you're the type who likes beats to be filthy and rhymes to be rugged. And if you aren't that type - the fuck are you doing here - did you get  dropped off by Google while looking for 2pac pics?
