Pete Rock & Bumpy Knuckles 1/16/10
The Soul Brother #1 Pete Rock just rocked over at Bumpy Knucles's ustream Krup Mob Radio. Not only was this a great show but at the end, Foxxx hooked up the SP-1200 that Pete Rock used to produce on 2000's classic Industry Shakedown and he performed it live! I'm glad that I was watching it and that it was being recorded!

Kev Brown Live Beat @Fat Beats LA 1.03.10
Kev Brown had an In-Store last Sunday at Fat Beats LA promoting his Random Joints album. He brought his MPC with him inside and decided to make a beat. Kev just picked this random record that he had never heard of. He quickly went through the record, I remember him saying something like "this sounds country", but of course he found something and then started to chop the samples. He finished the beat in about an 1 hour and 30 minutes. After that he let people rhyme to it to close it out. It was amazing! I tried my best to edit the footage I recorded to make it under 10 minutes. Hope you enjoy it!

Percee P - Live @Fat Beats LA 12.12.09
Percee P performs in-store live @Fat Beats LA on December 12,2009 doing a free show for the true hip hop heads. It was raining hard that day in LA but a lot of fans still came through to check it out. I gotta say that this was definitely a perfect performance. Percee P performed his best tracks and dropped knowledge for the fans. This man is a real legend! The Legendary Percee P!
Percee P performs Man To Praise off Perseverance.
Percee P talks about being around with Lord Finesse, DMX, Eminem, & Fat Joe.
Percee P performs Ghetto Rhyme Stories Remix off Perseverance: The Remix.
Percee P performs The Lady Behind Me Remix off Perseverance: The Remix.
Percee P spits one of his favorite rhyme acapella.
Percee P spits his two classic verses from Lord Finesse's Return of The Funkyman album. Don't forget he earned the hip-hop quotable in The Source for Yes You May. Hear him talk about it.
Percee P spits one last acapella.
Percee P talks about The Almighty KG from the Cold Crush Brothers and B-Boy Records(Scott La Rock, KRS-One).
Buy Percee P's catalog @FatBeats.com
The opening performance was probably the best I have ever seen. Check out "All In" from Versis. I had never been impressed by an opening performance like that.

Wyandanch High School Jam '85 - Biz Markie and Rakim

Holy shit. This was spotted over at DJ Stepone's blog which linked to it from Old School Hip Hop Tapes. Back on the forum, our good homie DJ Mike Nice purports to be the internet originator of this tape. I don't know who had what first, but regardless this is an amazing find:
Wyandanch High School Jam (1985)
Featuring: Biz Markie, Kid Wizard Rakim, MC Chilly Dawg, Grandwizard BMC & DJ Fantasy, Inc.
(1 of 2): The pre-party festivities jumped off by DJ Fantasy, Inc. rocking over the vintage 'beatbox' drum machine.

(2 of 2): The main event featuring Biz Markie with DJ Grandwizard BMC (from the group Groove B. Chill) joined by MC Chilly Dawg(aka Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, also from Groove B. Chill). Later on, a VERY SPECIAL impromptu guest appearance from none other than the Kid Wizard Rakim Allah!!! He drops a couple of verses during track #10 in the folder.
Holy shit. That's all there really is to say about this. -- Thun

King Sun, Rhymefest, & Percee P - Oct. 28
This past Wednesday, I went to see the god Rakim @The Seventh Seal Tour in LA. Rhymefest is touring with Rakim. The video I'm posting is just incredible! Let me tell you the story. First, Rhymefest was doing his thing on stage and then he asked if there were any mc's in the crowd. Percee P, who was in the crowd, tried to catch Rhymefest intention but he didn't recognize him at first. Rhymefest even said something like "You got cds? You gotta be good to press up your own shit". After he found out that it was Percee P, Rhymefest went on to rhyme "I'm Percee P, P stands for pimp...". A couple minutes after that, who do I see coming in the crowd? King Sun! He went close to the stage, Percee P praised him. Then he saw Rhymefest and got on stage. The video starts with Rhymefest introducing the legendary King Sun, who then asks Percee P to jump on stage. Percee P didn't touch the mic but King Sun killed it when he mentioned him throwing his cds!
I also recorded footage from Rakim's performance which I have to do some editing before I post it. One thing I'm going to tell you is that there was this security guard that kept telling me & my bro to stop recording. Because of this shit, I didn't get to record this moment when King Sun praised Rakim live on stage. I'm still mad about not getting it on tape! It was legendary!
One last thing, my brother got to talk to King Sun and while talking about the Strictly Ghetto EP, Sun told him that the track "Street Corner" was Mr. Magic's last appearance on a record. R.I.P Mr. Magic.

Kurtis Blow - Live @Greek Theatre LA (9.13.09)

Kurtis Blow performs the classics live at The Greek Theatre in LA on Sept. 13, 2009. I originally wanted to post the live video footage but I was too far from the stage(big venue) so it was hard to really see anything except to hear the sound. Fortunately, I kept the audio and it's sounds great! The only thing that dissapointed me about the concert is that Kurtis Blow only performed for 25 minutes. One problem also is that the speakers went out when he performed the first verse of "Basketball". I embedded a video below which shows the live performance of The Breaks(props to the uploader). The breakdancing is incredible, Kurtis Blow still got it!!!
Christmas Rappin' came out in 79', we are now in '09. That's 30 Years... Enjoy,
